Hot it Up: The Fire Ball 2

Dane101 and Mayhem Productions present...
THE FIRE BALL (AKA "FIRE BALL II: FIRE BALLSIER")

On Saturday, January 30th the hottest event of the winter returns for a night of dancing, debauchery, and awesome costumes! That's right freaks, it's the return of last year's wildly successful FIRE BALL - featuring a dance party with DJ CHEN-CHENG, belly dancing, burlesque, and fetish demos. Plus, it's your night to shine with our masquerade theme prompting any and all to don their finest party duds (anything from steampunk to sci-fi, Victorian to Renaissance, fetish to haute couture). We'll have a photographer on hand to document all the fabulous fashions!

We've got an excellent line-up of performers for you, too:

SABLE SIN CYR (classic burlesque by way of Baltimore)
THE TWINS (a darkly funny sister act)
FOXY VERONICA'S PEACH PIES (hometown caburlesque)
GRAYDANCER (bondage performer)

Madi-Scene and TPS have joined forces for the first ever off-campus Ten Percent Dance!

The Ten Percent Society, a University of Wisconsin-Madison student organization, builds community and fosters individual growth for those of fluid sexualities and gender identities by providing social involvement opportunities through events, education and activism. The Ten Percent Society actively pursues an inclusive environment for all.

The Ten Percent Society (TPS) was founded in 1983 upon passage of Wisconsin's gay rights legislation. As a University of Wisconsin registered student organization, we provide educational, social and cultural opportunities for students, faculty and staff, guard against university-sponsored discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, and work toward creating a campus free of homophobia.

TPS holds five dances per year, additionally we participate in two annual LGBT awareness series: Coming Out Week in the fall and Out and About Week in the spring.

To learn more about TPS please contact Co-President Kia Block at UW Madison Ten Percent Society tenpercentsociety@gmail.com or check out the website at tps.rso.wisc.edu.

TPS has supported and donated to organizations such as WI AIDS Network, Queer People Of Color, Student Global AIDS Campaign, and many many others. Please help mark 25 years of service!

Pass this on to others who might be interested and join us on Facebook. We would also be happy to mail or bring by handbills, flyers, or posters to your organization!

We give big thanks to our sponsors WORT and Le Dame Footwear!
